An hour's drive from Jinchini is the Shimba Hils National Park; rich in game including elephant, and the home of the only sable antelope in Kenya.
There is accommodation in the luxury Shimba Hills Lodge built around a natural forest watering hole. Alternatively you might want to stay in the self- catering Sable Bandas overlooking the coastal enscarpment or at the more exclusive Mwaluganje elephant sanctuary in the Shima Hills.
The village of Shimoni is a 40 minute drive south of Msambweni. It overlooks the Pemba channel, home to some of the finest deep sea fishing waters in the world.
