Kassim, the house manager, leads a team of friendly staff who are on hand to prepare meals and wash clothes for guests, as well as manage the house, garden and pool and ensure the house is locked up at night. Our shamba, tends to the garden and our askari, will appear at dusk with his assistant as night watchmen.
Local fishermen catch and bring fresh crab, prawn, lobster and fish to the door of the house for Omari to prepare and serve meals, usually alfresco to make the most of the spectactular views of the Indian Ocean. Other supplies such as mangoes, paw paw, pineapple, vegetables and basic supplies are available locally, other food and provisions can be bought at Diani or Mombasa.
Self-drive or chauffeur driven car hire can easily be arranged. Alternatively transfers to and from Mombasa (6,000 KSh or GBP 37) or Diani (3,000 KSh or GBP 19) are an option. [Prices for 2 pax as at Oct 2015)
